New Business Development Manager –
Performance Chemicals

 

The main responsibility of the New Business Development Manager is the management of products of our existing performance chemicals portfolio and the identification and implementation of new products which fit to our existing portfolio.

  • Manages the performance chemicals portfolio together with supervisor including business responsibilities for planning, budgeting, executing and controlling of overall product line profitability;
  • Acts as expert in regards to market trends and competitive situation;
  • Manages directly key accounts;
  • Leads global product forecasting as well as allocation decisions to coordinate production;
  • Identifies new business opportunities by establishing direct contact to R&D of key customers, analysing markets, competition, data banks;
  • Leads new projects throughout the whole development process in corporation with R&D, Production, Marketing&Sales;
  • Introduces new products to the market;
  • Assists Business Managers with market intelligence information;

Qualification:

  • University degree in chemistry and economics (e.g. Wirtschaftschemie, Chemistry and MBA) or University degree in chemistry and relevant management experience;
  • Working and industry experience as a product/new business development manager is preferred but not prerequisite;
  • Proactive, very dynamic self-starter with high motivation and assertiveness;
  • Ability to think analytically and strategically with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Willingness to travel, negotiating skills, ability to work in an international team;
